5 people were left injured in a shooting in Washington DC following a “dispute between known parties”, police said.
The 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way NE is where the incident took place. Four people—three men and a woman—were discovered “conscious and breathing” and sent to a hospital, according to the police’s preliminary inquiry.
Washington DC Police Department noted on X.
“Shooting investigation in the 1500 block of Harry Thomas Way NE. Preliminary: Adult male and adult female located at the scene, transported conscious and breathing. Two additional adult males arrived at a hospital, both conscious and breathing,”.
Police also added
Police said a fifth patient, a male, was also injured in the incident. “Preliminarily, this shooting stemmed from a dispute between known parties,”.
The incident occurred three days after three attacks on New Year’s Day shook the United States.
In New Orleans, a man named Shamsud-Din Jabbar, 42, a veteran of the US Army crashed a truck into a crowd and then started shooting, killing 15 people and wounding at least 30 more. After the encounter, he was later shot and murdered by police.
A Tesla Cybertruck outside the Trump International Hotel in Las Vegas was blown up by 37-year-old Armyman Matthew Livelsberger, who died hours after the incident in New Orleans. According to the police, Livelsberger killed himself with a gunshot wound.
In a third event, a nightclub in Queens, New York City, had a mass shooting that left at least 11 people wounded.
