Kevin Willsey, JPMorgan Chase’s global chair of investment banking, is retiring after over 30 years. He led the bank to become the top equity underwriter in 2008 and 2009 and was appointed global chair in 2013.

Who is Kevin Willsey?
Willsey has worked at the second-biggest bank on Wall Street for more than thirty years. Prior to becoming the global chair of investment banking and capital markets, he oversaw the global equity capital markets team and co-headed the lender’s North America investment banking.
Bloomberg News confirmed he will leave at the end of March.
According to the letter, JPMorgan became the leading equity underwriter in 2008 and 2009 under his direction. As part of a management change in 2013, Willsey was appointed global chair.
Fierce Competition Driver
According to the memo of Doug Petno and Troy Rohrbaugh, commercial and investment bank co-heads.
“He will be remembered for his fierce competitive drive, his willingness to dig deep into complex issues and his mentorship to many,”
A JPMorgan representative attested to the memo’s contents.
The company also said last month that Jennifer Nason, the global chair of investment banking, would be leaving the position after almost 40 years of service.
