Through a separate negotiation, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum have settled with US President Donald Trump. The pause planned tariffs are going to apply for at least one month. However, Trump’s tariffs against China will be still slated to go into impact on Tuesday.

To prevent DOGE from using the Treasury payment system, a group of unions is suing.
The highly sensitive Treasury payment system that manages Social Security, Medicaid, and other government operations is being blocked from being accessed by billionaire Elon Musk’s DOGE cost-cutting effort by a coalition of unions.
According to the case of a federal court in Washington, Musk’s employees are allegedly abusing the system by breaking several privacy laws and other regulations that control network access.
The lawsuit alleges, and said.
“Granting DOGE-affiliated individuals full, continuous, and ongoing access to that information for an unspecified period of time means that retirees, taxpayers, federal employees, companies, and other individuals from all walks of life have no assurance that their information will receive the protection that federal law affords”
The No. 2 Senate Republican is comfortable with cutting USAID. But others are not so sure.
Sen. John Barrasso of Wyoming, the GOP whip said
“I think it’s appropriate for the president and the administration want to hold them accountable and make sure taxpayer money is used wisely,”.
