Scarlett Pavlovich has sued Neil Gaiman and Amanda Palmer, claiming that Gaiman has sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions. Palmer allegedly knew of Gaiman’s history of violence. According to Pavlovich, who was homeless when she first met the pair. Pavlovich is requesting $7 million in damages.
A New Zealand woman, Neil Gaiman’s former nanny has filed a lawsuit against the best-selling British novelist. She alleges that he sexually assaulted her on multiple occasions. In the three civil cases she brought against Neil Gaiman. She also implicated his wife, Amanda Palmer.
The claims were filed on Monday in federal court in Wisconsin, Massachusetts, and New York by Scarlett Pavlovich. She was the couple’s nanny and babysitter.
In an interview with New York Magazine released a story in January describing eight women’s claims of coercion, assault, and abuse. Pavlovich revealed who she was.
According to the claims, when Pavlovich first encountered Amanda Palmer in 2020 in Auckland, New Zealand, she was destitute and living on a beach.
At the time, Scarlett Pavlovich was 22 years old.
The claims claim that when Palmer welcomed Pavlovich to the couple’s Waiheke Island home. The 22-year-old started doing errands for them. That also included watching their son and assisting with household tasks, eventually turning into the couple’s nanny.
Pavlovich said that the night they met in February 2022 was the first time Gaiman had sexually attacked her.
According to the claims, Scarlett Pavlovich continued to work for the couple despite the attacks. Hence she was homeless and broke and Gaiman had promised to support her writing career.
When Pavlovich notified Amanda Palmer about the assaults, she said that Palmer informed her that over a dozen women had previously told her that Neil Gaiman had sexually assaulted them.
