Customs officers searched Jeff Bezos’ $500 million yacht “Koru” on New Year’s Eve while fiancee Lauren Sanchez was on board.

According to the tabloid Page Six, on New Year’s Eve, Jeff Bezos’ $500 million yacht, named “Koru,” was the subject of a three-hour “routine” examination by US customs officers. It further stated that Lauren Sanchez, Bezos’ fiancée, was sunbathing with friends aboard the boat at the time of the operation.

Despite the customs agents’ prolonged presence, Sanchez appeared unconcerned and Bezos did not board the yacht. It further stated that when a stewardess led the officials, the former news anchor grinned for pictures.

Sanchez was photographed sporting a wide-brimmed white hat, a black sarong, and a printed Versace bikini. Wearing their uniforms, life jackets, and all of their gear, the officers climbed aboard the yacht.

It further stated that Koru was close to St. Barts, a well-liked vacation spot for celebrities, during the time of the hunt. The magazine was informed by a source that the three-hour search was “routine.”

Page Six reports that Bezos’ representative was unavailable and that neither Sanchez’s representative nor a customs agency official answered questions.

Officials did not bother the passengers, who included Tony Gonzalez (48), Sanchez’s best friend and ex-husband. Gonzalez, a former NFL player, and Sanchez are parents to a 23-year-old son. She also has two kids with Partick Whitesell, another ex-husband.

Bezos, 60, and Sanchez, 55, partied in Aspen, Colorado, last month in the snow. The Amazon founder denied rumors of an extravagant wedding that cost $600 million.

After five years of dating, Bezos and Sanchez announced their engagement in May 2023, according to Page Six. The pair commemorated the milestone on Koru in August 2023.

Bezos Says Wedding Won’t Cost $600 Million

He said, “This whole thing is completely false” and that “none of this is happening”.

He also added

“The old adage “don’t believe everything you read” is even more true today than it ever has been.”

Bezos’ post.

“gullible” to fake news and information. “Now lies can get ALL the way around the world before the truth can get its pants on. So be careful out there folks and don’t be gullible,”
