The one surviving member of the Brand died at the age of 87 on January 21st, 2025. He was a talented musician and he also played a crucial role in defining the Brand’s sound and also honored with a Rock and Roll Hall of Fame including a lifetime achievement award.
He passed his last days at a nursing home in Woodstock, New York.

Garth Hudson was placed into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as a member of the Band in 1994. He received a lifetime achievement award from the Recording Academy in 2008 along with many other awards. This group became part of the Juno Awards Candian Music Hall of Frame in 1989.
